How do I book my stay?

Book directly through our website to receive the best available rates and access to our latest offers. Eligible reservations can also take advantage of the Fukui Accommodation Campaign when available.

What are your check-in and check-out times?

• Check-in: From 3:00 PM

• Check-out: By 11:00 AM

If you have any special requests, please contact us in advance and we'll do our best to accommodate them.

How do I check in?

At Matsubara Container House, you'll be personally welcomed by owner and host Ike, who will greet you on arrival and show you around the property before helping you complete the check-in process.

To ensure someone is available to welcome you, please let us know your approximate arrival time before your stay.

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM.

How close is Matsubara Beach?

Matsubara Beach is just a 2-minute walk (approximately 200 metres) from the property. Whether you're looking to swim, enjoy a morning walk, or watch the sunset, the beach is only moments away.

Is the container house comfortable year-round?

Yes. Although our accommodation is built from shipping containers, it has been professionally insulated and is equipped with both air conditioning and heating, ensuring a comfortable stay throughout the year.

Is the accommodation suitable for families?

Absolutely. Matsubara Container House is ideal for couples, families with children, and small groups looking for a relaxing seaside getaway.

How many guests can stay?

Matsubara Container House can accommodate up to 7 guests, making it an ideal choice for couples, families, and small groups. Please refer to the accommodation details when booking to ensure the property suits your group's needs.

How many bathrooms does the container house have?

To make your stay as comfortable as possible, Matsubara Container House is designed with groups and families in mind.

The property features:

• 2 toilets

• 2 sinks (wash basins)

• A separate shower room and bathtub

Because the shower and bathtub are separate, two guests can use them at the same time, making it much more convenient for families and groups of up to 7 guests—especially when getting ready in the morning or after a day at the beach.

 

Facilities & Amenities

Is free Wi-Fi available?

Yes. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

Is there a kitchen?

Yes. The container house includes a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, rice-cooker, IH cooktop, cookware, dishes, and basic utensils, making it easy to prepare your own meals.

Can we have a BBQ?

Yes! A Coleman gas-powered BBQ grill is available to rent for ¥3,000.

The rental fee includes:

• Coleman gas BBQ grill

• Additional outdoor seating for the terrace

• A privacy screen for the terrace

• Cleaning after your BBQ

We take care of the clean-up, so you can simply relax and enjoy your BBQ experience.

Is parking available?

Yes. Complimentary on-site parking is available for all guests for up to 5 cars.

​

Is smoking allowed?

No. Smoking is not permitted inside the accommodation.

Are pets allowed?

Fukui Accommodation Campaign

Can I use the "Ii Toko, Horidakusan" Campaign?

Yes. Matsubara Container House is an official participating accommodation in the "Ii Toko, Horidakusan" Fukui Accommodation Campaign.

Guests who book eligible plans may receive up to ¥5,000 per person, per night in Fukui Happy Coin, which can be used at participating restaurants, cafés, souvenir shops, tourist attractions, and many other businesses throughout Fukui Prefecture.
